Jake was born to break the rules! (as far as writing music is concerned). His unique, holistic approach to music allows him come alive in the writing room. Give him any demo, of any genre, at any stage of development - it will not take him long to ascertain & acquire a melody and from there the lyrics will soon follow.

I fell in love with the subject of poetry at an early age and excelled at it in the classroom. The process of breaking down a poem, stanza by stanza, seemed to unlock a whole new world of lyricism for me. As a songwriter, Jake Gooding is as well-rounded as it gets, with hands-on experience writing for a plethora of genres, including: (but not limited to) Dance/EDM, Spoken Word, Indie, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/Rnb, Funk, Pop, Alternative Pop & Acoustic/Folk
When writing on behalf of others, he notes: “It’s vital for my process that I work in close proximity with the chosen artist. I want to get inside of their head and fish for any details, perspectives, thoughts or feelings that I can get my hands on, and only from then will I put pen to paper.”

MEET THE ARTIST.
Jake Gooding was born and raised in the UK, moving from town to town until he found his way to the city of Bath for University. He joined BSU’s commercial music course in 2021, under the watchful eye of Course Leader Dr. James Dickinson (Little Angels), and has been developing his craft ever since. He is an outgoing, well-rounded & approachable person. The warmth and comfortability he brings to any encounter you may have with him is only further carried into his collaborative approach to song-writing. There is never a dull moment with Jake, he aims to bring out he smiles in everyone and believes strongly in memorable, positive interactions within the Music Industry, from his fans, to his mentors, to his clients, he aims to build strong, loyal relationships and takes great care in helping and aiding in the success of others, as well as building his own lyrical legacy.
